Hello there! My name is Sonja and I’m a photographer and writer based in Seattle, but these are just my hobbies. I work at a normal 9-5 desk job in my day-to-day life.

I’m originally from southern Wisconsin, a place that couldn’t be more different from the mountains I currently head to with every spare moment I can find.

I love to backcountry ski, ski mountaineer, trail run, and backpack in the mountains of Washington mostly.

Sometime during my backcountry journey, I decided that I wanted to fully capture the places I was visiting and I purchased my first camera. I now capture each of my trips in the backcountry through photography and writing in hopes of sharing these beautiful lands with others and inspiring them to embark on adventures of their own.
